The Vampire Secret - ヴァンパイアの秘密

ある 日 、ヴァンパイア の ルーカス は 、 人間 の 友達 を 作りたい と 思いました 。 何百 年 も 生きて きた 彼 には 友達 が いません でした 。

One day, a vampire named Lucas wanted to make human friends. Despite living for hundreds of years, he had no friends.

「 人間 の 世界 で 普通 に 生活 を してみたい 」 と 思い 、 ルーカス は 昼間 、 街 に 出かけました 。 もちろん 、 日光 を 避ける ために 日傘 を さしていました 。

"I want to live a normal life in the human world," Lucas thought, and ventured out to the city during the day. Of course, he carried a parasol to avoid the sunlight.

街で会う人間たちに挨拶をしますが、みんなは彼の白い肌と鋭い目に少し驚いている様子でした。「ちょっと変わった人だな」と思われたようです。

He greeted people in the city, but everyone seemed a bit surprised by his pale skin and sharp eyes. "He seems like a strange person," they thought.

ルーカス は カフェ で 誰か と 話 を しよう と しました 。 注文 する 時 に 「 血液 は ありますか ？ 」 と 間違って 言って しまいました 。 店員 は びっくり しながら 、 「 申し訳ありません 、 コーヒー なら あります が … 」 と 答えました 。

Lucas tried to talk to someone at the café. When ordering, he accidentally said, “Do you have blood?” The clerk, surprised, replied, “I’m sorry, we have coffee, but…”

ルーカスは慌てて「あっ、間違えましたコーヒーでいいです」と言い直しましたが、店員は不思議そうな顔をしていました。

Lucas quickly corrected himself, "Ah, I made a mistake! Coffee is fine," but the staff looked at him curiously.

カフェ を 出た 後 、 ルーカス は 近く の 公園 で 人々 と 交流 しよう と 思いました 。 日傘 を 差しながら ベンチ に 座っている と 、 近く の 子供 が 「 おじさん 、 なんで 傘 を さしている の ？ 」 と 聞いてきました 。

After leaving the café, Lucas went to a nearby park to socialize. While sitting on a bench with his parasol, a child asked, "Mister, why are you using an umbrella?"

「 ええっと … ちょっと 肌 が 弱くて ね 」 と ルーカス は 答えました 。 子供 は 「 へぇー 、 変 なの ！ 」 と 言いながら 笑いました 。

"Uh… my skin is a bit sensitive," Lucas answered. The child laughed and said, "Weird!"

ルーカス は 人間 と 仲良く なる ために バーベキュー パーティー に 参加 しました 。 テーブル の 上 には 、 香ばしく 焼けた 肉 や 色 とりどり の 野菜 が 並んでいます 。 ルーカス は それら を じっと 見つめ 、 「 どれも 食べられない ... 」 と 心 の 中 で つぶやきました 。 仕方 なく 、 周り に 合わせて 肉 や 野菜 を 手に取り 、 食べている ふり を する こと に しました 。

Lucas joined a barbecue party in order to get along with humans. On the table were deliciously grilled meat and colorful vegetables. Lucas stared at them and muttered in his heart, "I can’t eat any of these..." Having no choice, he decided to pretend to eat the meat and vegetables like everyone else.

友達 に 「 食べない の ？ 」 と 聞かれる と 、 ルーカス は 一瞬 戸惑い 、 焦って 「 今日 は あんまり お腹 すいて なくて … 」 と 答えました 。 周り は それ を 聞いて 納得した 様子 でした が 、 ルーカス は 心 の 中 で ため 息 を つきました 。 本当 は 、 彼 は 吸血鬼 。 普通 の 食べ物 は 口 に できず 、 血 しか 受けつけない の です 。

When a friend asked, "You're not going to eat?", Lucas was momentarily confused, and flustered, answered, "I'm not really that hungry today…" Those around him heard that and seemed convinced, but Lucas let out a sigh in his heart. The truth is, he is a vampire.He can't eat normal food, and can only accept blood.

夜 、 ルーカス は ついに ホッと する こと が できました 。 体力 が 回復 し 、 少し 元気 に なりました 。 「 やっぱり 夜 は 落ち着く なぁ 」 と 思いながら 、 みんな と 楽しく 話しました 。

As night fell, Lucas finally felt relieved. His powers returned, and he felt more energized. "The night is definitely more comfortable," he thought, enjoying the conversation with everyone.
