来月、甲子園球場で、高校野球の1番を決める大会があります。開会式などで、初めて手話を使います。
手話は、聞こえない人や聞こえにくい人などが手を動かして会話をします。手話を、球場の大きいスクリーンで見せることも考えています。
開会式では、大会に出る高校の紹介などを、手話ができる高校生2人が行います。
手話をする愛媛県の済美平成中等教育学校の吉田理紗さんは、「甲子園で初めての大切な仕事ができて、とてもうれしく思います」と言いました。
宇津百音さんは、「選手のすばらしい姿をたくさんの人に届けるために頑張ります」と言いました。
手話は、閉会式でも行います。
