John makes a reservation at a yakiniku restaurant to celebrate his girlfriend’s college graduation. “Hello, I’d like to make a reservation, please.”
店員：「ご連絡ありがとうございます。ご希望の日にちと時間、人数を教えてください」
Staff: “Thank you for calling. Please tell me your preferred date, time, and number of people.”
ジョン：「えーっと、来週の金曜日、18時半から、2名でお願いします」
店員：「かしこまりました。電話番号は？」
ジョン：「電話番号は090-1234-5678です」
店員：「ありがとうございます。では、来週、ご来店をお待ちしています」
John: “Um, next Friday at 6:30 p.m., for two people, please.” Staff: “Certainly. May I have your phone number?” John: “My phone number is 090-1234-5678.” Staff: “Thank you very much. We look forward to your visit next week.”
予約の日になりました。ジョンはスーツを着て、彼女のアヤは着物を着ています。
ジョン：「18時半から予約していたジョンです」
店員：「いらっしゃいませ」
The reservation day has arrived. John is wearing a suit, and his girlfriend Aya is wearing a kimono. John: “I’m John. I have a reservation for 6:30.” Staff: “Welcome.”
二人は、美味しい焼肉を注文して、たくさん食べました。ジョンは、「アヤ、卒業、おめでとう！本当にお疲れ様でした」と、アヤの卒業をお祝いすることができました。
The two of them ordered delicious yakiniku and ate a lot. John was able to celebrate Aya’s graduation, saying, “Congratulations on your graduation, Aya! You really worked hard.”
