The beetle known as Kabutomushi is strong and popular among children. A sumo tournament to determine the strongest Kabutomushi was held on the 12th in Kochi City. Sixteen children gathered with their own Kabutomushi. The Kabutomushi compete in sumo on a circular dirt ring. If they leave the ring or fly away, they lose. The children cheered, saying 'Do your best!' and 'Go for it!' The winner was a Kabutomushi owned by a five-year-old girl. The girl said, 'I am happy. I want to tell my Kabutomushi, 'You did great' and 'Thank you.''
