Growing Sunflower - 育つひまわり

ケイコは小さい女の子です。今日、お母さんと一緒に、お花屋さんに行きました。ひまわりの種を買いました。

Keiko is a small girl. Today, together with her mother, she went to the flower shop. They bought sunflower seeds.

家に帰りました。小さい鉢を準備しました。土を入れました。種を植えました。水をあげました。

They returned home. She prepared a small pot. She put in soil. She planted the seeds. She gave water.

毎朝、ケイコは鉢を見ます。「おはよう」と言います。水をあげます。でも、まだ育ちません。

Every morning, Keiko looks at the pot. She says, "Good morning." She gives water. But, it still does not grow.

五日目です。小さい緑の芽が出ました。ケイコはとても嬉しくなりました。「やった！」と言いました。

It is the fifth day. A small green sprout came out. Keiko became very happy. She said, "I did it!"

毎日、芽は大きくなります。ケイコは毎日、芽に話します。「元気ですか？」「今日はいい天気ですね。」

Every day, the sprout becomes bigger. Keiko talks to the sprout every day. "How are you?" "Today is nice weather, isn’t it?"

三週間後、黄色い花が咲きました。とても綺麗です。ケイコは笑いました。「かわいいひまわり!」と言いました。

After three weeks, a yellow flower bloomed. It is very beautiful. Keiko smiled. She said, "Cute sunflower!"
