In autumn, people in Japan often eat a fish called sanma (Pacific saury). On the 18th, a large amount of sanma arrived at the market in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, from a port in Hokkaido. Recently, sanma has not been caught very much, but on the 18th, about 13 tons arrived. That’s more than double last year’s amount. This year’s sanma are the biggest in the past 10 years.
