テニスの錦織圭選手が、最後の試合をしました。
錦織選手は、1日、東京で「ジャパンオープン」という大会に出ました。1回戦で、アメリカの選手と試合をしました。
錦織選手は、サーブで点を取ったりしましたが、0－2で負けました。
試合のあと、伊達公子さんなどから花をもらうと、涙を流していました。そして、コートを回って、会場に来た人たちに挨拶をしました。多くのファンたちが「ありがとう」と言っていました。
36歳の錦織選手は、世界ランキングで日本の男子でいちばん高い4番になったことがあります。
最近は、膝や肩などのけがで苦しんでいました。そして、5月には、今年で選手をやめると発表していました。
